Description

Supports the strategic decision making of senior administration and helps advance university goals through careful design and implementation of studies to answer empirical policy and planning questions. Applies advanced knowledge and expertise in the design and statistical analysis involved in conducting research studies.Analyzes data using various statistical and other software programs to provide statistical and summary reports for strategic planning and program development.Conducts research and studies on the institution, including design of studies, data collection, analysis, and reporting. Analyses data using appropriate statistical models and assists stakeholders in the interpretations of the data.Provides data to senior administration and consults with key constituents' system-wide regarding appropriate research design, methodology, sampling, and evaluation protocol.Responds to ad-hoc information requests.Consults and provides guidance on design, data collection, analyzing and reporting research studies.Coordinates with faculty and researchers on special reports, projects and analyses as requested.Serves as project lead on the design and analysis of complex data sets used to address research questions relevant to institutional planning decisions.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

This position will support the Division of Marketing and Communications. The ideal candidate is a data-driven problem solver with strong analytical skills and a keen interest in marketing. They must be proficient in collecting and analyzing data and skilled at translating complex findings into clear, actionable reports for non-technical leadership. Adaptability, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate insights effectively are essential. While experience in marketing analysis is a plus, a willingness to learn and a passion for understanding marketing and communication audiences are equally important.

Technical SkillsData Analysis : Proficiency in analyzing data, data interpretation, and data-driven decision making.Data Tools : Experience with tools like Excel, SQL, Google Analytics/Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Python, and R.Statistical Analysis : Knowledge of statistical methods, A/B testing, regression analysis, or hypothesis testing.Reporting : Skills in creating dashboards, generating reports, and data visualization.Analytical and Strategic Skills

Problem Solving : Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems and derive actionable insights.Strategic Thinking : Experience in developing and implementing data-driven strategies.Optimization : Skills in optimizing spend, improving ROI, and scaling campaigns.Communication Skills

Data Presentation : Experience presenting data to non-technical stakeholders, creating clear and actionable reports and dashboards.Cross-Functional Collaboration : Ability to work with different teams and departments, and translate data insights into strategic recommendations.Marketing Specific Terms (Nice to have, but not required)

Customer Insights : Experience in gathering and analyzing customer behavior, segmentation, and market research.Campaign Analysis : Ability to evaluate marketing campaign performance, ROI, and KPI tracking.Attribution Models : Understanding of marketing attribution models and measurement techniques.

Qualifications

Masters and 5 years experience

Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related Master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
