Job Title: Oracle DBA
Responsibilities of the Oracle DBAEDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Oracle DBA in Radford, VA. This will challenge the candidate to expand their skillsets and learn new technologies in a fast-paced and friendly environment. The successful candidate remains up to date on vendor technologies and recommended best practices in a highly available, enterprise environment. The successful candidate for this position will be solid in Oracle and familiar with MySQL and EDB/PostgreSQL
The Oracle DBA will:
Use backup and recovery using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) with Veritas NetBackup.Work with data-at-rest, over-the-wire encryption using pkcs12 containers, and transparent data encryption (TDE) for Oracle and MySQL.Conduct performance tuning for both transactional and analytical workloads.Troubleshoot utilizing database and operating system capabilities.Work with shell scripting in PL/SQL.Be a subject matter expert with system administrative tasks.Possess strong documentation skills and interpersonal skills.Participates in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.Qualifications:
Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.5+ more years of experience (including design, installation, configuration, administration, patching, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting) with the Oracle Enterprise Database in a UNIX environment on physical and virtual servers; similar skills are required for MySQL and EDB/PostgreSQL.Experience with Oracle 12c, 19c including Multitenant, RAC, DataGuard, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) and Oracle Automatic Storage Management Cluster File System (ACFS).Oracle Database CertifiedCompTIA Security + CertifiedActive Security ClearanceAbout EDC ConsultingFounded in 2005 and headquartered in Tysons Corner, VA, EDC Consulting is a small business provider of enterprise solutions and strategic business support to the Federal Government.
