Senior Network Engineer.
This is a full-time position available
onsite (hybrid) in New Carrollton, MD.Key Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and resolve network issues. Provide Level 3 routing and switching support.Provide Support for BareMetal setups (network device refreshes)Monitor incoming tickets and take the appropriate action, including updates and closures.Provide “state of the network” status reports throughout the shift.Troubleshoot VPN access ticketsMonitor and open tickets for selected network events.Additional duties as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field3+ years of experience in network engineering or a related roleDeep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and VPNsTroubleshooting WAN and LAN network issues with connectivityExperience with network security practices and toolsHands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper devicesAbility to troubleshoot complex network issues effectivelyStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsRelevant certifications (such as CCNA or CCNP) are preferredBenefitsSID (www.sidonline.com) offers a unique, stimulating and challenging environment that fosters individual growth and rewards performance.
