We are currently working with an awesome school district in Salem, ORwho isseeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for the school year.Interviews for this position will be occurring this week! As a School-Based Occupational Therapist contracted through Soliant, you will provide essential therapeutic services to students in need. Your role will involve assessing student needs, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, and working closely with school staff and families to support students' academic and functional success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop tailored therapy plans. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom setting. Deliver direct therapy services focused on motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques. Develop and lead training sessions for educators and parents on strategies to support students with various needs. Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Contribute to the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend related meetings. Qualifications: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Oregon. Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred. Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required. Comprehensive knowledge of child development, special education, and therapeutic interventions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
