Our client, a global investment management firm, is seeking an IT Asset Management Technician to join their team. As an IT Asset Management Technician, you will be part of the Asset Management Team supporting desktop operations and assisting in managing the lifecycle of devices. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication, a detail-oriented mindset, and is able to work independently, but also as a team player, to meet the larger goals of the team and organization.

Job Title: IT Asset Management TechnicianLocation: Owings Mills, MD (Onsite - Full Time)Contract: 6-Months

What's the Job?

This position supports the daily distribution and tracking of desktop equipment and peripherals to our associates.Duties include receiving desktop assets, peripherals, and accessories, tracking and updating Coupa orders, updating ServiceNow tickets, shipping equipment (both interoffice and to associates homes), inventory and data reconciliation, imaging pcs and loaner laptops, occasional software installation and troubleshooting.Preparation of desktops and other equipment for disposition including removing extra components and erasing all data from assets leaving the firm.Work closely with Desktop Support to make sure tickets and equipment are properly recorded and available for deployment in Service Now.This resource will continue to augment current Asset Management staff to meet lease replacement schedules and complete other Asset Management responsibilities (detailed above). Over the next 6 months, they have approximately 2000 PCs to be returned as well as various projects related to Return to Office. Other projects in the pipeline will require Asset Management assistance for facilities renovations.

This role follows processes for creating new asset records in ServiceNow to begin life cycle management, as well as shipping and receiving responsibilities.
