Job Profile
This position monitors product demand, procures required products and monitors Netceed's inventory to cover the needs of the customer. This role includes purchase of products, managing inventory levels, and strategic planning of special product buys and facilitating returns of excess or non-moving products.
ResponsibilitiesDemand Planning
Ensuring optimal stock availability across distribution channels to provide a positive customer experience and maximize sales opportunitiesEstimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast modelsBuild inventory plans to establish appropriate stocking levels to support customer demand.Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to managementMonitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategiesConduct monthly forecast maintenanceAlign with Netceed customer growth strategies to exceed market expectations
Buying
Process requisitions and update management on status of ordersPrepare and raise purchase orders and order schedulesImplement vendor price, delivery, and lead-time per strategic procurement agreementsUpdate inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levelsArrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely deliveryBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliersNegotiate and manage pricing and terms (freight, payment terms, MOQs)Evaluate and monitor supplier performanceIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficienciesConduct cost analyses and benchmarking to ensure competitive pricingUtilize data and analytics to drive decision-making
Requirements/Key Experiences
Prior purchasing experience is required (3-5+ Years)Understanding of purchasing and inventory management practicesSelf-motivated, goal oriented and works well in a team environmentStrong communication and negotiations skillsThe ability to instigate and manage changes within a dynamic environment is essentialPC experience is required with Windows experience preferredMust be proficient in the use of 10-key calculator, Microsoft Word, and ExcelAPICS experience is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent negotiation skills.Proficiency in procurement software (ERP/MRP)
