We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Product Owner & Business Analyst

with experience in the insurance industry to help define, document, and manage requirements for our Policy Administration System (PAS) and Broker Portal. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize product requirements that align with business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in translating business needs into actionable system features while ensuring product quality and successful delivery.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Work closely with business stakeholders (underwriters, claims, compliance, and brokers) to gather and document detailed requirements for the Policy Admin System and Broker Portal.Write clear, comprehensive functional and technical specifications, user stories, and workflows, ensuring they reflect the needs of end users and business goals.Analyze and map current business processes and workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement or automation in insurance policy processing and broker interactions.Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring alignment on product functionality, goals, and priorities.Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder input, and technical feasibility.Define and document acceptance criteria for features, participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure successful product delivery that meets the specified requirements.Work within an Agile framework, participating in sprintSupport the development of the product vision and roadmap for the Policy Admin System and Broker Portal, focusing on key insurance industry needs such as underwriting, policy issuance, billing, claims, and broker relationships.Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape within the insurance sector to ensure that the product remains innovative and compliant.Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in roles focused on Policy Admin Systems (PAS) or Broker Portal development.Strong understanding of insurance products, policy lifecycle (underwriting, issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations), and the broker-client relationship.Familiarity with no/low-code systems for PAS, broker portals, and experience with business analysis tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and business requirements to development teams.Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into efficient software solutions and workflows.Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, with familiarity in backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required).Benefits
