IT Advisory Sr. Business Architect

Zurich North America is currently hiring an IT Advisory Sr Business Architect, and this person will work in a hybrid schedule at our Schaumburg North America HQ and will report to the Technology Strategy Lead within the Advanced Technology & Enterprise Solutions team.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Build strong partnership with business leaders to understand their strategic direction and identify opportunities and approaches where technology can be applied to drive growth, improve efficiency, enhance stakeholder experience, etc.Lead efforts to integrate knowledge of business aspirations, current state challenges, target state design, technology stack, internal IT capabilities and external solutions to help create long-term/multi-year technology roadmapHelp business and IT stakeholders understand effort, risk, impact, and trade-off of technology decisions through rigorous, data-driven analysisTroubleshoot and analyze tough technology problems and take end-to-end ownership to drive them to full resolutionEffectively manage stakeholder expectations and involvement through timely and high-quality verbal/written communicationLead cross-functional teams or projects with moderate to significant resource requirements, risk, and/or complexityOrganize and manage multiple assignments with potentially competing priorities and deadlines, while adhering to departmental guidelines and expectationsBuild and maintain a constructive and supportive relationship with business and IT leaders to influence directionRepresent IT in the development and continual review of key business strategy and plans for specific areasCut through complexity and ambiguity to communicate and facilitate - help leaders visualize concepts, simplify complex scenarios, influence prioritization & consensusCommunicate difficult concepts; converts information to compelling business context and advice; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholdersEngage in conversations on a wide spectrum - from high-level strategy to granular processes and system detailsBuild thought leadership in emerging technology trends and help educate the broader organizationDrive business and IT adoption of emerging technology solutions, including AI/ML, DevOps, IoT, OCR, Cloud, RPA, etc.Works autonomously as the lead and guide/coach/empower junior resourcesBasic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaORHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaANDIT StrategyPreferred Qualifications:
Masters degreeEnergized by using technology to drive innovation and value creationPassionate about leveraging applications and solutions to drive productivity improvementExperience in business architecture and/or technology strategyProven ability to bridge business needs and technology solutions while considering qualitative/quantitative impact to devise strategic optionsExperience with managing multiple enterprise projects with competing prioritiesExperience with working with senior business leaders on strategic technology topicsIT consulting experience (internal or external)General knowledge of financial services industry including knowledge of insurance business processesStructured problem-solving analytical skillsAbility to succinctly communicate (verbal & written) complex topics via simple terms and tailor approach based on audience and messageWillingness to learn plus a get-it-done mindset with a strong bias towards action
