How You'll Make a Difference:

The primary responsibility of the Business Intelligence Analyst is the delivery of complex financial analysis products in an evolving data environment. They will work collaboratively with all Population Health departments including Finance, Risk Management, Clinical Services, Quality/STARs, and Provider Relations to analyze and visualize data to enhance products and reporting tools, and to provide insights on operational and financial efficiencies. The ability to manage, develop and lead a high-performance team that extracts and analyzes data, cleans and combines disparate data sets, and identifies patterns and trends is essential. This individual is responsible for the full lifecycle of analytic activities to include requirements gathering, data modeling, development of analytic tools, development of reporting capabilities, contributions to the data product development and continuous monitoring of performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. Their analysis, reporting initiatives, and recommendations will directly impact operational efficiency, product development, and strategic decision making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Build close relationships with Finance Team to truly democratize financial data understanding and accessUnderstand the financial big picture and demonstrate connection to contract structures and value base dynamicsClearly and concisely communicate complex value base logic, technical requirements, and design recommendations through iterative solutionsCollaborate with key Finance stakeholders to create internal reporting and dashboards related to population health financial metricsSelect and use appropriate tools to perform data extraction, modeling, transformation, cleansing, loading, and interpretationAcquire data from primary or secondary data sources such as commercially available datasets, EMR systems, internal Arkos data stores, and other repository system and design systems, processes and templates for capturing data then gather and analyze the resultsProvide consultation, recommendations and assistance to Arkos stakeholders in implementing data extraction routinesReview financial reports, and value base performance indicators to identify opportunities or locate and correct data issues or gapsDevelop financial tools or models by interpreting requirements gathered from stakeholders, design the appropriate reports or data extracts and identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patternsFluent in SQL within an analytical database, data warehouse, or data lake and in business intelligence toolsDocument and maintain procedures and workflows for future referenceAdvocate for improvements to data quality, security, and data performance that have impact across your team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferredHealthcare Value Base experience and working knowledge of MLR, RAF, HEDIS/STARs, cost & utilization metrics, MMR/MOA/MOR etc.Ability to translate technical terminology and processes to lay terms, as well as financial and clinical terms and processes to tech, so that like verbiage is being used the same way across departments and skillsetsAbility to multi-task, shifting back and forth effectively between two or more activities or sources of informationAbility to balance and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and deliverables for several departmentsExperience in quantitative prediction financial algorithms preferredRecognized expert in Data Interpretation, Visualization, and PresentationProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Master), Tableau and Power BI preferredBenefits:
