Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Using an Agile engineering approach, DevSecOps, and industry best practices to architect, engineer, and implement network security control methods in Cloud environments.

Leveraging secure Cloud solutions and next generation firewall and intrusion protection.

Performing as network architecture and engineering escalation point for network security to effectively support security processes and procedures.

Configuring and implementing Next Generation Firewall systems and Next Generation Intrusion Protection Systems.

Reviewing existing configuration settings to identify potential security vulnerabilities and proposing/implementing setting or architectural changes to address these vulnerabilities.

Performing securing, hardening, and rule creation for new firewalls, switches, routers, and other network equipment. This includes reviewing and re-evaluating existing configuration settings and rules to verify security posture and eliminate unnecessary risk.

Participating as security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.

Applying knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.

Performing system or network designs that encompass multiple enclaves to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements.

Performing Network system backups and recovery.

Minimum Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Architect

Bachelor’s degree preferably in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) majors or additional equivalent experience

DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification

Experience with DevSecOps and Agile concepts

Experience working with Cloud based infrastructures (AWS and Azure)

Solid understanding of industry-standard network design principals and best practices

Enterprise level architecture, network engineering experience, systems administration, and systems automation experience

Technical leadership in Enterprise Architecture (EA) and IT Service Delivery

Experience in conducting assessments at an Enterprise level, reviewing technical documentation, conducting interviews and workshops, identifying gaps, and developing tailored solutions

Experience developing, configuring, and delivering COTS solutions in support of enterprise IT infrastructure design (e.g., network, storage, virtualization, database, 3rd party tools)

Deep experience with networking and security methods and tools

Proven experience with managing and using Dev Ops concepts

Experience with the following tools and concepts:

Network Infrastructure Management, Reverse Proxy (Blue Coat), Firewall Management System, Next Generation Firewall, and Web Application Firewall

Identity and Access Management (IdAM), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)

Preferred Qualifications:

CISSP certification

Familiar with Jira and Confluence

Experience implementing, integrating, operating, and maintaining a large enterprise infrastructure

Experience with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning

Broad experience deploying technical solutions into enterprise-wide infrastructure

Demonstrated expertise in security policy and operational implementation

Experience working with Cloud architects, system engineers/administrators, database administrators, software engineers, and application developers to generate assessments, as well as develop and implement actionable recommendations analysis - Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead - Expert with AWS, Azure, and/or other Cloud offerings

AWS Cloud administration and/or migration experience

Experience with the following tools and concepts:

Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

Data Dissemination Service (CSP native)

Global Transport Management

IP Address Management, DNS Hosting, Caching, Recursion

DDoS Protection Service

CSSP Services (C5ISR)

Clearance Requirements:

This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
