Network Integration Specialist
on the MUOS (Mobile User Objective System) program team, you will support the integration, configuration, and maintenance of critical network devices and operating systems. Your work will directly contribute to sustaining a satellite-based communications system in collaboration with government and NATO partners. This position involves hands-on integration and troubleshooting across various devices, such as Linux/Windows servers, firewalls, routers, and switches, and offers the opportunity to develop scripting and cyber hardening skills. The role requires onsite work in a closed network environment to ensure secure, efficient operations.Key Responsibilities:Network Device Integration:
Install, configure, and maintain a variety of network devices (Linux/Windows servers, firewalls, routers, switches).Operating System Management:
Perform OS patching and updates for Linux and Windows devices, ensuring security and efficiency on a closed network.Troubleshooting & Debugging:
Diagnose and resolve network and system issues within the lab environment before deployment.Scripting & Automation:
Develop and refine scripts (Bash, PHP, Python) to automate processes and enhance network efficiency.Virtualization:
Contribute to the virtualization of physical hardware using tools like VMware or Nutanix to reduce hardware footprint.Cyber Hardening:
Apply security patches and harden network devices to meet the latest cybersecurity standards.Documentation:
Write detailed technical documentation, including installation guides, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations.Required Skills:Basic understanding of
Linux/Windows servers .Knowledge of
Operating System configuration and patching .Ability to
troubleshoot and debug
network and system issues.Experience with
application installation
on Linux/Windows systems.Strong
documentation writing
