Description Job SummaryThe Field Project Controls Analyst is responsible for scheduling and cost controls associated with the projects assigned to them. Including, implementing systems, analytical tools and methods to monitor status of projects, which require the selection and application of earned value principles and techniques. As well as responsible for performing P6 scheduling assignments, which require the selection and application of sequencing, task duration assessment, resource loading and monitoring, updating, P6 schedule and schedule variance reporting, presentation and familiarization with technical scope and knowledge of the project.Essential FunctionsActively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.Develop detailed budgets for projects upon award, using the final as-sold estimate, utilizing the standard cost code structure.Perform necessary budget maintenance, including budget transfers and change order budgets.Review job costs to ensure correct cost codes are assigned to labor, materials, subcontractors, outside services, equipment, etc.Perform labor productivity analysis utilizing earned value measurement tools.Accurately track, analyze, and forecast project costs using various tools.Utilize analytical systems, methods and tools to monitor the project and complete weekly and monthly progress reports to management and/or customer as needed.Work with the project manager on change orders based on analysis of the reports and identification of potential problem areas.Answer questions from the project manager and senior management as a result of project analysis and status reporting. Bring critical issues to the immediate attention of appropriate management personnel.Support supervision through preparation, updating and maintenance of forecasts.Interface with other departments to provide cost data for items such as subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, new work item estimates and resolution of potential work schedule problems.Take ownership of the cost forecast generated in collaboration with the Project Manager and support team. Develop a thorough understanding of the basis of the forecast and be capable of explaining the logic and reasoning behind the forecast to management during review meetings.Assist accounts receivable with project invoicing.Lead the project closeout process once the job is completed.Perform tasks required to develop and maintain schedules for large capital projects, including the integration of multiple logic-tied EPC schedules.Effectively communicate work priorities and schedule concerns to project management.Ability to follow site planning issues throughout completion, involving all appropriate stakeholders.Develop detailed schedules with project management. Collect data from a variety of sources to ensure each project and each portion of each project is properly incorporated into the project schedule(s).Interface with other departments to provide scheduling data for items such as estimating, RFQs, RFPs, subcontracts, supply chain, bid comparisons, new scope estimates and resolution of potential schedule concerns.Perform schedule audits in the field, confirming project progress, sequencing, and durations.Participate in the development of weekly work plans for each work area based on schedule.Support Project Management through preparation and maintenance of schedule reports and progress analysis.Develop a detailed construction and system-based commissioning schedule with Construction Management team.Assemble scheduling data from a variety of sources including engineering, vendors/suppliers, subcontractors, or others.Provide scheduling, manpower, variance, and progress measurement reports in support of weekly and monthly reporting.Participate in the updating of the project forecast to reflect most current plans and requirements.May provide supervision and on-the-job training to clerical and entry level professional personnel assigned to area of responsibility.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Qualifications5+ years of related project controls experience within the construction industry.Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Business, Engineering or Construction Management preferred.Working knowledge of, and ability to select and apply, resource monitoring and control techniques, such as sequencing, duration assessment and logic.Primavera P6 stand-alone and enterprise schedule experience strongly preferred.Thorough understanding of the nature of EPC project execution and sequencing.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work within multiple critical deadlines.Strong knowledge of and ability to progress project work activities using Earned Value Management methods.Ability to read drawings/blueprints preferred.Proficiency in the use of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and other database applications.Advanced Excel skills preferred.Should possess analytical skills and have knowledge of cost accounting and finance.Must be detail oriented.Good interpersonal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills.Expected on local jobsites (within 30-45 minutes of the Broomall Office) 4 days a week and in the Broomall, PA Office or Work from Home 1 day a week.Travel and overtime may be required.
