They are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join their team.The Opportunity:As the Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the architecture and development of the platform, with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and security. You'll collaborate with scientists and ML engineers to optimize the backend services that power their AI-driven applications.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and architecture of the platform, ensuring it scales effectively and remains secure.Drive the development of tools that verify the accuracy of AI-generated insights against clinical standards.Spend 75% of your time writing and reviewing code in Python, ensuring code quality and performance.Work closely with ML teams to enhance backend services and streamline deployment.Troubleshoot platform issues, with a focus on monitoring, streaming, and authentication challenges.Build a unified platform for monitoring AI applications and measuring their clinical impact.Help hire and mentor additional team members to expand the engineering team.Requirements:Expertise in backend development with Python, including building scalable, reliable platforms.Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred or AWS)Experienced with microservice architectureProficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.Familiarity with healthcare data standards like FHIR is a strong plus.Experience with Generative AI, vector databases (Pinecone, Llama Index), and large language models (LLMs).Proven ability to take ownership of a platform and treat it as a product that requires continuous improvement.Compensation & Benefits:This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $180,000 to $210,000 + equity along with comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.Key Words:Technical Lead, Python, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, Generative AI, Vector Databases, LLMs, Backend Engineering, Healthcare AI, FHIR
