Graham Technologies seeks a Cloud Architect to work at our Scott AFB, Ill, customer site. In this position, you will be crucial in creating and connecting cloud networks, establishing front- and back-end platforms, and developing operational cloud-based delivery systems. This role requires a strong background in scripting and programming languages and a deep understanding of cloud services, notably Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities:

Design and set up components for successful cloud computing networks, ensuring seamless connectivity across remotely located servers.

Establish front- and back-end platforms to optimize cloud network performance and user experience.

Develop and maintain an operational cloud-based delivery system, considering efficiency, scalability, and security.

Utilize scripting and programming languages to implement and optimize cloud infrastructure.

Leverage expertise in AWS and other cloud technologies and best practices to design and implement robust and scalable cloud solutions.

Continuously monitor and optimize cloud systems for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

Work closely with stakeholders and product teams to gather technical and non-technical requirements and translate them into well-architected solutions.

Ensure that the architecture and solutions comply with Cloud best practices and mitigate any potential security vulnerabilities.

Focus on optimizing performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications:

Active Secret Clearance

More than five (5) years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and computing.

Proficiency in scripting and programming languages relevant to cloud computing, such as Python, Java, or PowerShell.

Demonstrated experience designing and setting up cloud computing networks, focusing on AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.

Ability to develop and maintain operational cloud-based delivery systems focusing on efficiency, scalability, and security.

AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and optimize cloud infrastructure.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, adapting to evolving industry standards.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced AWS certifications include AWS Certified Advanced Networking or AWS Certified Security Specialty.

Experience with other cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
