Senior Splunk Engineer

DescriptionWe are seeking a Senior Splunk Engineer to join our team supporting a high-profile cyber security program for a US Government agency. As a Senior Splunk Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration and engineering of a large distributed clustered Splunk environment, including onboarding new data sources, building dashboards, and maintaining configuration files and apps. This role requires expertise in Linux, Splunk, ansible, app interface development, and utilizing automation tools. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will also interact with end users to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and assist in creating Splunk search queries and dashboards.QualificationsMinimum Bachelor's degree with 8+ years' experience in Information Technology, or equivalent Cyber Security Certifications and experience4+ years of experience in Linux, Splunk, Ansible, app interface development, using REST APIs, or other Cyber technologiesProficiency in Splunk Enterprise Security premium apps, ITSI, and Splunk EnterpriseStrong problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situationsSelf-starter with ability to prioritize and complete tasks independentlyKnowledge of Cloud Services, Regex, and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Visual Basic, or PowerShellBaseline security certification to meet DoD 8570 at IAT II requirements, such as Security +Must hold at least one of the listed Splunk certificationsAbility to favorably pass a 5-year Background Investigation before beginning work on the programPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in Splunk professional services roleCertifications in Splunk premium appsExperience in automating Splunk Deployments and orchestration within a Cloud environmentExperience with FISMA Systems requirements, Confluence, JIRA, ServiceNow, and Cribl CCOE User certificationOriginal Posting Date:
