ResponsibilitiesParticipate in architectural discussions with internal customers and technical teams to understand business and technical requirements in order to develop and tailor cloud reference architectures and patterns to maximize business value of cloud architectures.

Participate in architectural discussions with technical teams to develop transition architectures, road-maps and design patterns to adapt cloud-suitable applications to cloud native architectures.Design and develop a solution to include customer deliverable documentation such as architectural design documents, bills of material, implementation plans, network and traffic flow diagrams and other supporting documentation as required.Produce well written, technically detailed documents that are tailored specifically to the customer's environment, objectives and requirements.Provide hands on implementation of proofs of concepts and pilot architectures to serve as references for large scale implementations.Must have real-world, hands on experience delivering scalable cloud services and applications in highly regulated environmentSeeking team members who can profile and migrate applications to the cloud.Emphasis on creating reusable, automated, and pipeline-built services.The contract includes continuous task orders focused on stabilizing current data centers and extending into the cloud.Candidates must have expertise in building services for a multi-cloud environment and collaborating with clients.Focus on building data, networking, authentication, and messaging services as code, with pipelines for re-usability and configuration management.80% remote work with 20% on-site (locations: Kernysville, WV; Alexandria, VA; Fort Meade, MD).

Qualifications

SkillsProficiency in providing production ready IT solutions using services from leading cloud service providers, such as Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure.Have a solid and proven understanding of the role Identify performs in cloud native applications and zero-trust architectures.Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate efficiently and effectively.Experience with one or more programing or scripting languages (ie. C#, Java, Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash)Strong understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps practices.Experience with containerized workloads and orchestration (Docker, OpenShift or upstream Kubernetes).Strong understanding of Git and GitOps.Experience working in an Agile team environment.Demonstrated experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deploy workloads and services (Terraform experience preferred).Strong understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems.QualificationsMinimum 10+ years' experience (Public Sector experience preferred).Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fieldSecurity clearance requirements: Active DoD SecretCertification: IAT Level II - CompTIA Security+CESMS is a dynamic systems integrator established in 1976, delivering talented teams and innovative, cost-effective solutions and services to support our customers' missions for more than 47 years.
