The Lead Data Architect will develop and align target data models with business and finance unit priorities, working across teams to implement the overall data strategy, and promoting the use of semantic technologies and data governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Modeling & Strategy: Define target state data models, develop data governance standards, and align with finance business priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with various data and technology teams to align the data strategy with enterprise goals.

Data Governance: Own design decisions with the Chief Architect, develop modeling and protection standards, and document key modeling principles.

Roadmap: Create and prioritize a long-term roadmap (12-18 months) focused on business outcomes, aligning with cross-functional teams.

KPIs and Impact Analysis: Define and track KPIs for ontology and data modeling, refining strategies based on data and adjusting to organizational impacts.

Mentorship: Develop and mentor team members on ontology and data modeling to scale efforts across the Finance organization.

Integration & Standardization: Harmonize data with enterprise semantics, follow W3C standards, and maintain awareness of industry trends.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree.

6+ years of experience in data engineering and metadata (ontology, semantics, taxonomy).

5+ years in data architecture.

2+ years of experience with AWS applications.

Deep experience with W3C standards (JSON, XML, RDF, RDFS, OWL, SKOS).

Strong SQL skills.
