Position Summary
The recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Advising Assistant position for the Honors College (HC) at Oregon State University (OSU) for the 24-25 academic year.
Applicants must be an active Honors College student in Spring 2024, and must have completed the Stage 1 Thesis class. This position is a paid position with expected hours 6-12 hours per week, hours varying on student availability and HC office schedule.
The position assists the advising team and the front desk of the Honors College office. Providing support for miscellaneous office tasks, answering phone calls, directing incoming appointments to HC staff, referring students to appropriate HC and OSU staff, and supporting students in connecting with HC resources.

Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of studyMust meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employmentMust meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling programUndergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per termUndergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per termGraduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the
Office of International Services
(OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
