LRS Consulting Services is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity with our client in Fort Worth, Tx.Position SummaryThe Business Intelligence Engineer I will generate insights that impact decision making in the enterprise. This will be achieved through collaboration with direct business leaders to define analytic needs, deliver end-user solutions, and provide ongoing partnership for ad-hoc analysis and predictive analytics.The BI Engineer I will use new analytics tools, Information Architecture strategy, frameworks, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to partner with lines of business to rationalize data needs that are critical to our data transformation.As part of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Team, the BI Engineer I will have the opportunity to shape business intelligence practices based on the Enterprise Data and Analytics strategy and Data Governance outcomes.The ideal candidate is outcome-focused and has a collaborative style that fosters teamwork. They will be required to work across multiple groups and initiatives.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDeliver analytics solutions that help drive key business decisions and operational efficiencyCollaborate with business stakeholders to develop an understanding of their analytic requirements and operational processesCompose insights and provide business data interpretation into a relatable presentation/story dependent on scope and audienceComplete data exploration and profiling by leveraging data analysis, design, and presentation toolsImplement and act on the recommendations, outcomes and designs from Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Enterprise ArchitectureCollaborate on the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise information architecture for metrics, reports, analysis, and dashboards to drive consistency in the analytics approachDevelop analysis and reporting capabilities to implement the data lifecycle, considering how data is created, transformed, stored, archived, analyzed, and shared in the organizationImplement methods to include unstructured and big data, such as social media, emails, pictures, videos, voice and sensor data, client surveys and feedbackPartner with Data Engineering, Information Technology, and business unit groups to develop and implement comprehensive information and business insights solutions to provide consistent, clean and integrated data that enables self-service analyticsEducationBA\BS preferred; MBA or MS or equivalent a plusWork Experience2+ years of applied experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable positions that handle large/complex data sets, developing metrics, and fostering business partner relationshipsCertificationsCertifications related to Analytics (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau) preferred; Power BI Data Analyst Certification will be required within 90 days if not already achievedRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficient with visualization & data story telling using tools such as ThoughtSpot, PowerBI (preferred), TableauProficiency in SQL with knowledge of T-SQL and PL/SQLProficient in advanced excel techniques and model developmentApplied experience transforming manual processes to industry standardsHigh communication skills are required to review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to effectively meet analysis requirementsMust possess strong communication/interpersonal skills and leadership skills, and be able to deliver news that may be sensitive, and/or confidential, in a professional mannerRequires excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and proven ability to work independently and in a teamAbility to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutionsDemonstrated understanding in conceptual and logical data designDemonstrated understanding of data management practices and data governance process; familiarity with data governance tools such as Azure PurviewDemonstrated understanding of data mapping and lineage strategiesDemonstrated understanding of data modeling techniques such as 3rd normal form and star schemaDemonstrated understanding of digital marketing and operational analyticsPreferred QualificationsFinancial services industry experience or other highly regulated industry experience a plusApplied experience in Agile, SAFe, Scrum or Lean Six SigmaCertifications related to Data Analytics a plusStrong understanding in analytic solutions for unstructured dataFamiliar with building analytics solutions in a cloud data architecture, experience with Azure Data Solutions including Azure Databricks a plusFamiliarity with analytics process automation tools such as AlteryxFamiliarity with Machine Learning and modeling techniques using Python, R, and/or ScalaFamiliarity with object-oriented programming and the software development processFamiliarity with source control tools such as gitFamiliarity with statistical analysis and research techniquesExperience with building Salesforce/Analytics CRM solutionsLRS is an equal opportunity employer.
