As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be part of our Card Processing, Acceptance Solutions org to help design, enhance and build our transactional platform in an agile development environment. You will play part of multiple teams tasked with multiple projects ranging from building full stack development of real-time transactional services, REST services API,Container based services to highly functional, secure, scalable and resilientreal time payment systems.You will work on development, unit testing, code reviews and regular check-ins to continuous integration that will become part of your DNA.Youwill see the code written and moved to production within just a few days to a week, tothen be used by a huge customer base including Facebook, Nike, FedEx, Apple, StateFarm, to name a few.If this sounds exciting, we want to chat and tell you more about our work cultureand environment and see if this will be a good fit for both of us.Essential Functions:You'll help our customers achieve their real goals by understanding their requirements and how they respond to their business needs.

You'll use technologies that include Java, REST, NoSQL, Docker and more.

You will analyze business requirements and architect a solution that is robust and scalable along with providing technical documentation of solution.

You'll leveragenew technologies to build the next generation of Transactional systems.

You'll develop and deliver new features every few days and be responsible for them end-end

You have the work and academic experience that will demonstrate proficiency and ease with programming languages, code quality initiatives, scripting languages and operating systems

You have experience in commercial software development on Unix/Linux environment.

You have experience in consumer facing application development.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AND minimum five (5) years of experience in a directly related field. ORMaster's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field AND minimum three (3) years of experience in a directly related field. ORMinimum eight (8) years of directly related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

Strong experience in building large scale enterprise level backend applications using Java, Spring, REST API, RDBMS, NoSQL, Vertx, Kafka, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.

Good analytics & problem-solving skills with a solid foundation in algorithms, data structures and common design patterns.

Experience with Continuous Integration and Delivery, deploying in containers like Dockers.

Experience with TDD using JUNIT/functional automation testing and tools.

Proven experience delivering complex software projects and solutions effectively through Agile methodologies on a regular release cadence.

Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to think big and challenge the status quo.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work well in a team and independently.Additional Information
