As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network, compute, and storage infrastructures for both physical and cloud environments. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure, enabling our business to deliver high-quality services to our customers. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure technologies, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Job Title:
Azure Cloud Infrastructure EngineerKey Responsibilities:1. Design and Implementation:Design, deploy, and manage network, compute, and storage solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.Design, deploy, and manage network, compute, and storage solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.Develop and maintain infrastructure architecture and documentation.Collaborate with other internal technology teams and third party vendors to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure services.2. Operations and Maintenance:Monitor and maintain the health and performance of infrastructure components.Perform routine maintenance, backups, updates, and patches to ensure infrastructure stability and security.Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.3. Security and Compliance:Working closely with Information Security, implement and maintain security best practices across all infrastructure components.Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.Assist with regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.4. Automation and Optimization:Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline infrastructure management tasks.Identify opportunities to optimize performance and reduce costs across the infrastructure landscape.5. Collaboration and Leadership:Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.Work closely with cross-functional teams to support project initiatives and business objectives.Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure issues.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or combination of experience.Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on network, compute, and storage technologies.Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).Proven experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud. Strong preference for Azure experience.Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs).Proficiency in managing and maintaining compute environments, including virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Experience with storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage.Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery.Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation toolsFamiliarity with security best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA).Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to adapt style to a nontechnical audienceProactive and detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, and the ability to leverage a data-driven approachLocation : Hybrid onsite in Smyrna, GASalary Range : The salary for this position is between $100,000 - $135,000 annually.
