The Office of Broadband Access and Expansion's (OBAE) vision is to achieve bold, affordable broadband solutions for New Mexicans that honor the state's rich heritage and elevate quality of life for all. OBAE is tasked with developing grants, broadband projects, and providing technical assistance programs, digital equity programs, and other relevant programs to support federal and state objectives for broadbanddeployment.

Why does the job exist?

The Connect New Mexico (CNM) Coordinator is Program Coordinator for the CNM funds. This includes $70M for infrastructure and $5M for grant writing, engineering and planning. Other funds may add as appropriated. This position will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, applicants and awardees. The CNM fund coordinator is the subject matter on the CNM funds.

How does it get done?

Program Management- Prepare grant and program materials as needed.- Collaborate with OBAE staff to build and enter requirements into grants management software- Work with OBAE staff and contractors to create RFP materials as needed- Develop grant award notices and other grant documents- Monitor program performance across grants and projects.- Be the subject matter expert on the program, recommend and make changes as needed

OBAE leadership, OBAE employees, New Mexico legislators, Connect New Mexico Council, partner agencies, and DolT ASD and New Mexicans.

Ideal Candidate

Ideal Candidates:- Experience with managing state programs, funds, and procurement- Experience with grant management software, Microsoft suite, DocuSign, Adobe Suite- Demonstrated performance with creating grant program materials and documents for stakeholders- Demonstrated performance with presenting program financial data to organizational leadership- Experience developing training and delivering training to stakeholders

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years program administration or project management in areas related to the purpose of the position. Substitutions apply. See Substitution Table below.

Employment Requirements

Preemployment background investigation is required, and employment is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Work is usually performed in an office setting, with extensive exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), personal computer, tablet, printer, calculator, cellphone, copy machine, scanner, keyboard, and telephone usage. Occasional travel, working extra hours, working on weekends and holidays.
