We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Engineer to join our team and help us build modern digital health services that are used to support the Center’s for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). This successful candidate will work within a multi-functional team to deliver applications that meet federal government needs by working with other developers, designers, and back-end developers to create web/mobile applications. The developer will create and maintain highly interactive web applications using Angular frontend and NodeJs backend REST API that will be used by healthcare providers across the country. The project will be implemented using an Agile, Scrum-based process that includes Sprint Planning/Review/Retrospectives and daily stand-ups.

Responsibilities:

Work with Product Owner and UX design to understand and create solutions for diverse user requirements

Develop and maintain Angular web applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable Node.js back-end services.

Write clean, well-structured code and ensure the implementation of unit tests using relevant testing frameworks.

Utilize AWS services to deploy, manage, and monitor applications, ensuring high availability and security.

Develop and maintain Python ETLs

Create/update DDL/DML associated with the work items assigned

Participate in team meetings and team processes for application development and release

Be part of a dynamic, highly independent Scrum team following the standard Scrum ceremonies in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment

Leverage experience with MongoDB or Document DB to design, implement, and optimize database solutions.

Work with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to break down requirements into technical tasks

Take ownership of various user stories and work with the development team to manage dependencies on the program

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, optimizing performance and addressing bugs as they arise.

Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends related to back-end development.

Collaborate with members of other teams to address integration needs and/or other interdependencies

Assist with the release management process

Follow team defined coding standards and styling

Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.

Coordinate with DevOps and QA/IVV teams as needed to complete assigned task

Proficiency in working with MongoDB or Document DB, ensuring effective data storage and retrieval.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related and 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelors; or a master's degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience

3+ years of experience with relational databases and/or NoSQL databases, testing (Unit, Functional, Regression, Smoke, Performance, Load, etc.), Test-Driven Development using automated testing frameworks

3+ years of experience testing code builds and deployment properly through Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment processes, built in Jenkins or a comparable tool

3+ years of experience with version control tools, such as Git, as well as experience with modern design patterns and building enterprise-grade production applications

Candidate must have resided in the United States 3 of the last 5 years.

Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance

Candidate must reside in the US, be authorized to work in the US, and work must be performed in the US

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters with 3+ years' relevant experience

Expertise working as part of a dynamic, interactive Agile team developing and delivering digital services

Experience with AWS and Docker

Experience mentoring junior developers

Experience working in the healthcare industry

Federal Government contracting work experience

Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills

Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrate time management skills

Ability to work successfully with a cross-functional, diverse, and distributed remote development team

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$84,533.00 - $143,706.00
