This role will only consider W2 candidates and not C2C candidates.Job SummaryOur Team is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented Software Engineers working on our Dentrix Core Practice Management Systems. As a SWE Manager you will mentor team members in code reviews and regular 1:1's. You will efficiently break down work, build an amazing team and deliver great products to our dental customers.This role will typically have around 10 direct reports including Software Engineers and Software Engineers in Test (remote and nearshore). SWE Managers also work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and other technical and business stakeholders.What You Will DoHire, retain and build top talentLead your team of engineers and build a culture of excellenceActively participate in and manage all phases of development from ideation, implementation, to post-deployment issue resolution for your teamDevelop strong partnerships with other engineering leaders, DevOps, product, architecture, and other key areas of the businessOwn the problem and scope solutions that line up with business objectivesSupport and champion the continued evolution of our Agile culture and Scrum best practices

QualificationsMust HavesBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent professional experiencePrior experience as a Software Engineering Manager with a team of direct reports7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience using C# and .NET and a solid understanding of client server architectureAbility to influence and build relationshipsAbility to effectively manage conflictExcellent written and verbal communicationExcellent decision-making skills

The posted range for this position is

$115,000 - $173,000

which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a

12.5% bonus
