Senior/Staff Software Engineer
to join one of our leading clients in the Electronic and Optical Solutions in their Fremont, CA office.Location : Fremont, CACompensation : $90.00 - $96.00/hrIDEAL CANDIDATE:Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.5+ years industry experienceDeep understanding of
fiber optics and optical transceivers
with hands on testing experiences preferredProven experience with
LabVIEW and Python
programming.
Responsibilities:Develop and maintain software for optical test systems using LabVIEW and PythonDesign and implement optical transceiver test procedures in connection with production tests.Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop optical test strategies and optimize yields and throughput with help using Data Analytics and developing Software ToolsAnalyze test data and provide detailed reports to stakeholders for production test enhancements.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with excellent code and system debugging skills.Versed in communication protocols such as I2C, Serial, GPIB, VISA, TCP, and Database Tools.Qualifications:Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (Masters or Ph. D) preferred.Proven experience with
LabVIEW and Python
programming. NI Certification of
CLAD/CLD
helpfulDesign, develop, and verify LabVIEW software and control algorithms to meet requirements including front-end graphical user interface (GUI) and optical calibration and testing algorithms.Familiar with LabVIEW OOP, User Events, QMH, and Producer/Consumer Design PatternsDeep understanding of
fiber optics and optical transceivers
with hands on testing experiencesExperience with optical test equipment such as
OSA, BERT, and Optical Power Measurements .Git Repository expertise such as Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab, and Source Tree; JIRA, and Confluence.Excellent communication and teamwork skills for close collaborations with technical peers
