Our industry leading client is seeking a Java AWS Cloud Developer to work within the TradeFlow Order Management team to build cloud-based, critically important brokerage applications for the enterprise. This is a hybrid role located in Boston MA.Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.Rate: $70 - 75 / hr. w2Responsibilities:
You will be collaborating with the multiple business units and other brokerage technology teams to develop applications in support of multiple assets classes offered on the brokerage platform to our customer base. This role is passionate about hands-on development and delivery, which requires a combination of both good technical skills, and participation in architecture, design, and analysis activities!Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field, Masters a plusA deep understanding of various programming languagesHands-on experience in application deployment automation and pipelinesExperience implementing projects as a team in Agile environments (Kanban or Scrum)Experience in at least 2 "foundational" development languages (Java, Python) for 3 or more yearsExperience with REST microservice architectureExperience with S3, Route 53, EC2, EKS, API gateway, Cloud Front, Cloud Trail & Lambda development in AWS, MS-Azure or Google Cloud knowledge a plusExperience with relational and NoSQL databases in AWSExperience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Kubernetes, Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker)Experience using source control for feature-driven development in Bitbucket/StashExperience working with Artifactory and familiarity with API registries (e.g., Apigee)Familiarity with automated deployment in uDeployGood communication, positive approach to work, high energy:8+ years of hands-on experience using Java/Spring Boot (must be in current project) - must be an expert in Rest API'sStrong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)MUST HAVE good Kafka knowledge as the team uses it extensively - would take SQS/SNS as well5+ years of AWS development experience (not interested in other cloud providers for this one)- Will need to know how to migrate API's to the cloud (S3, Route 53, EC2, ECS, API gateway, Cloud Front, Cloud Trail & Lambda)Comfort with Python scriptingAbility to learn new things, new technology, and tackle problems
