Job Summary:

Lafayette Group is seeking a highly motivated GIS Analyst to support complex projects for our federal clients to design and deliver geospatial and data visualization solutions for data analysis, reporting, and decision-making to fulfill business objectives. This position will involve working with clients to gather and analyze business requirements; determine data needs (both internal and external); develop implementation strategies; use analytical tools to create and deliver solutions; and develop, monitor, and review actionable metrics, dashboards, and analytics products that enable clients to make data-informed decisions.

Job Responsibilities :Work closely with clients and key stakeholders to establish geospatial/data visualization capabilities that support user/stakeholder needsLeverage a variety of input sources (e.g., databases, flat files, custom applications) to populate geospatial solutions that drive better decision-making and prioritization within the organizationExtract, transform, and load data using tools such as SQL ServerMaintain data integrity and security of databasesSupport data integrity, data quality, and audit efforts as neededDesign and build operational reports/dashboards and static maps using tools such as ArcGIS Pro to support more efficient reporting, analyzing, planning, and forecastingTranslate metrics and technical concepts into easily understood informationManage data in analytic platforms and business intelligence tools, dashboards, and reportsTroubleshoot and analyze issues within reportsMaintain accurate documentation of data assets, policies, plans, and proceduresBuild strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Required Qualifications :

2+ years of experience in consulting and business analysis to develop well-organized and insightful reports, dashboards, and other forms of geospatial data visualizations in support of strategic, tactical, and operational business decisionsExperience using ArcGIS Pro to perform geospatial analysisExperience in the SQL Server environment and SQL queriesExperience with dashboard development/business intelligence tools such as MS Power BI and TableauExperience developing scripts using python libraries (e.g., ArcPy, GeoPandas, GeoPy, etc.) to develop automated data pipelines to support dashboards, data visualizations, and geospatial analysisDemonstrated experience in analyzing business needs, extracting and refining requirements from clients, and drawing conclusions from quantitative and qualitative analyses to develop business solutionsDemonstrated ability to communicate in a clear and concise mannerExcellent writing and presentation skillsStrong consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detailDemonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload and maintain schedules and deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelBachelor's degreeMust have the ability to obtain and maintain suitability which will require successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting.

Desired Qualifications :

Experience in government consulting in data science/analytics or related field.Existing security clearance or suitability

This position is Remote

Federal Contracts:

This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $80,000
