We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Developer with expertise in financial systems to support the analysis, design, and development of system changes aligned with the Foundation Data Model (FDM). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Microsoft technologies and a strong understanding of financial processes, including chart of accounts (COA) modifications, data migration, and integration across multiple platforms. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with FDM, working closely with stakeholders to implement technical solutions and support the successful transition of legacy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, and develop system changes to align financial systems with the Foundation Data Model (FDM), including modifications to legacy chart of account (COA) formats.
Update computer programs, databases, user interfaces, integrations, and reporting to ensure FDM compliance.
Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions that align with business processes and system architecture.
Perform data migration and conversion activities, updating SSIS packages as needed to ensure smooth transitions to the FDM.
Participate in One Washington’s end-to-end test cycle, including bug fixes, system remediation, and support for the go-live and stabilization phases.
Technical Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of six years of experience in software development, with at least three years in a senior or technical lead role.
Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET framework, C#, MVC, ASP.NET, WPF, WCF, WinForms, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, and other ETL processes.
Strong proficiency in SQL Server management, including developing reports and handling data integrations using SSRS and SSIS.
Familiarity with complex financial systems and accounting principles. Prior exposure to Workday’s Foundation Data Model (FDM) or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
Expertise in data migration and systems integration using tools like SSIS or equivalent.
Proficiency in user interface (UI) technologies, specifically WPF, to modify and align user interfaces with new data models.
Demonstrated experience in designing, modifying, and deploying financial reports using SSRS to align with FDM structures.
Experience in leading system remediation and development projects, preferably involving financial systems.
Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and working within iterative development cycles.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges, identify system bottlenecks, and implement scalable solutions.
