Software Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Software design and development of new enhancements for an existing software system

Analysis and resolution of reported system issues

Working with a team to cover help desk for the product

Work together with a distributed team via web conferencing

Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field

4+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering using web technologies (Java, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS)

Required Skills/Certifications:

Software development using web technologies (Java, JavaScript, Angular, HTML5, CSS)

Working knowledge of software processes (project management, architecture/design, requirements, development, QA/QC, deployment)

Excellent communication & presentation skills

Excellent writing skills

Personable and professional

Desired Skills/Certifications:

Experience in MS SQL Server database development including DB design, coding of stored procedures, and development of complex queries

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services

Experience designing and implementing web services

Experience implementing scalable REST web services in Spring

Experience monitoring application servers with tools such as JMX

Experience with Atlassian collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SourceTree
