Job Title : Help Desk Technician (Mac)Job Location : San Diego, CA 92008Job Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PMJob Type : Direct Hire, 100% OnsiteSalary Range : $56,160 - $60,320SummaryThis position involves both onsite and remote troubleshooting of user computer issues. The ideal candidate will be proficient in diagnosing hardware and software problems, with a strong knowledge of both Windows and Mac operating systems, basic networking, Microsoft software packages, and web technologies. A keen attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential for this role.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot Mac and Windows operating systems effectively.Provide first-line support for IT issues reported by users.Triage help desk tickets and handle escalation when necessary.Manage tickets for issues/errors, new hire setups, and equipment deployments.Provide onsite and remote support via phone or remote session.Perform timely workstation hardware and software updates/upgrades as needed.Install, configure, and test workstation hardware such as video cards, NICs, and hard drives.Work independently, demonstrating a strong ability to learn quickly.Collaborate with the IT Department to analyze and resolve technical application issues and recommend solutions.Perform post-resolution follow-up and document all solutions.Education and ExperienceA+ certification preferred.4+ years of experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues.Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Office, Active Directory, and servers.Familiarity with networking technologies such as IP, DNS, and DHCP.Proficiency in computer hardware and software.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong problem-solving abilities.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Skilled at conveying technical information in non-technical terms.Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively while ensuring accuracy.Knowledge of IT disciplines, including software applications, production operations, quality assurance, and systems management.Exceptional customer service orientation.Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.Excellent communication and organizational skills.High level of confidentiality required.Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.Strong ability to juggle multiple projects, tasks, and issues simultaneously.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
