Publishing Pathways: Publicity

Publishing Pathways is an unpaid educational opportunity designed for mid-level professionals who are interested in transitioning to a career in publishing. After choosing between marketing, publicity or sales, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the publishing industry, acquire and/or hone essential skills, meet professionals in their desired functional area, and have their cover letters and resumes reviewed by recruiters in human resources.

The program, which runs from October 15, 2024- November 14, 2024, consists of three (3) phases:

Phase 1: Attend 2 classes/workshops/panels related to publicity skills—October 14-18

Phase 2: Two Informational Interviews—October 21-November 1

Phase 3: Cover letter and resume review—November 4- November 15

Applicants must thoroughly answer all application question and submit a cover letter and resume to be considered.
