Overview:We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager (or Cloud Migration Project Manager) with deep experience in large-scale Cloud Migration projects to join our Financial Services Practice. The individual will lead a significant cloud migration project leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role will focus on the seamless transition of critical systems, applications, and data to AWS, ensuring security, compliance, and minimal disruption. The ideal candidate will have deep cloud migration expertise, a proven track record in cloud migrations within the financial services sector, and the ability to manage complex projects with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:AWS Cloud Migration Leadership:
Serve as the primary point of contact for a major end-to-end AWS cloud migration project, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.Project Planning & Execution:
Develop and implement detailed migration project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.Stakeholder Management:
Coordinate with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure successful migration, with ongoing reporting and communication. Must be comfortable working with cybersecurity experts, developers, system administrators, and cloud architects.Communication:
Communicating with stakeholders at all levels and managing their expectationsTechnical Oversight:
Work closely with infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams to ensure a secure, compliant, and efficient migration process.Compliance & Security:
Ensure that all migration activities adhere to financial services regulations, security protocols, compliance standards, and applicable laws (e.g., encryption, access controls, and intrusion detection system).Risk management:
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks through risk assessments and contingency plansQualifications:Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.Experience:
7+ years of IT project management experience, with 4+ years focused specifically on AWS cloud migration projects.Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead cloud migration projects in the banking sector, managing cross-functional teams and working within regulatory frameworks.Tools:
Proficiency in AWS cloud management tools (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, etc.), as well as project management tools like Jira and Confluence.Skills:Communication:
Strong ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Keen ability to communicate project status to peers, leaders, and executives at all levels of an organization.Problem Solving:
Ability to solve problems independently through deductive reasoning, questioning, and investigation. Deliver problem statements with accompanying proposed solutions.Compliance:
In-depth understanding of banking regulations and how they apply to cloud environments.Budget Management:
