Summary:The Manager, PMO will be responsible for establishing, managing, and optimizing the Project Management Office in the IT Department. This role involves developing project management methodologies, standards, and tools to support project teams and ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in project management, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within the PMO.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Establish and maintain the Project Management Office (PMO), defining project management processes, standards, and governanceLead and manage the PMO team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.Develop and implement project management methodologies, tools, and templates to standardize project deliveryEnsure alignment of projects with business objectives, providing strategic direction and prioritizationMonitor and report on project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality metrics.Facilitate project reviews and audits to ensure adherence to project management best practicesIdentify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverablesProvide training and support to project managers and team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvementOversee resource allocation and capacity planning to optimize project deliveryDrive the adoption of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies as appropriateEnsure effective communication and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycleStay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in project managementSupervisory Responsibilities:This position has supervisory responsibilityQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldProven experience as a PMO Manager or in a similar project management leadership roleStrong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferredExperience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologiesExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, Monday, Microsoft Excel)Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)Knowledge of portfolio management and strategic planningProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferredPreferred Skills:Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)Knowledge of portfolio management and strategic planningProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferred
