Designer

The ideal candidate is a creative team player will be able to demonstrate an understanding of design criteria and create accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models. You must be able to work both independently and collaboratively.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing an accurate and correct 3D CAD model and 2D drawing consistent with direction from the project engineerDemonstrated ability to interpret and accurately reflect design criteria in a drawing or modelMust be able to field check their own work if necessaryReport to the Design and Automation ManagerResponsible for complying with company design standardsResponsible to perform daily work assignmentsRegular interaction with supervisor and other CAD designers to coordinate on projects, be aware of changes and provide accurate, current detailsAnswer design related questions from shop, layout, or field personnelComplete assigned work in a timely, efficient and accurate mannerOn occasion, may be required to make proposal drawings or perform miscellaneous engineering dutiesResponsible for attending classes to keep their skills and knowledge current with technologyUnderstanding of sheet metal forming and weldingProficient at use of Microsoft Word, ExcelWork cross-functionally with other teamsMulti-task while designing components of various projectsQualificationsBachelor's degree in design or related field or relevant work experienceProficiency in Autocad, Solidworks, NavisworksExperience on construction or architectural design is a plus
