Our work is transforming how restaurants operate, making them more efficient and sustainable.What's in it for you:As a key player in our new division, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape its culture and direction.Impact the success of our innovative projects and help define the future of our product offeringsExperience the best of both worlds with this team at Ecolab: the agility and creativity of a startup paired with the stability and resources of a global leader.Our collaborative environment fosters innovation while providing the support and security you need to thrive.What you will do:Aid in creating product roadmap by informing key technical decisions and best practices for Vision AI useDevelop and implement computer vision algorithms using libraries such as OpenCV and frameworks for CNNs (Convolutional Neural Networks) for object detection, tracking, and image classificationApply supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms for tasks like classification, regression, and anomaly detectionOversee the MLOps lifecycle including data collection, labeling, model training, evaluation, inference, refinement, and monitoringCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate vision systems with hardware and software platforms, ensuring high performance and reliabilityConduct research on state-of-the-art recognition techniques and stay current with industry trendsMinimum QualificationsBachelors degree and 10 years experience; or no degree and 12 years combined education and equivalent work experience10 years of work experience with a specialization in computer vision or machine learning Vision AIProficiency in Python programmingStrong knowledge of core computer vision algorithms and libraries like OpenCVExperience with convolutional neural networks for computer vision tasksSolid understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithmsExpertise in MLOps, covering the full model lifecycleProven experience in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets for training and testing modelsDemonstrated ability to implement and fine-tune computer vision models for various item classesNo immigration sponsorship available for this positionPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied MathematicsExperience with advanced object detection frameworks like YOLO and RoboflowExperience using PyTorch, AutoML and similar model training frameworksFamiliarity with Azure Machine Learning and Azure Vision AIExperience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration with KubernetesProven experience deploying distributed Cloud & Edge solutionsKnowledge of multi-modal language models like GPT-4V and specialized language models like the Phi familyInterest in collaborating with partners outside of core team / organizationOpenness to experimental approaches typical of tech start-upsA trusted partner at nearly three million customer locations, Ecolab (ECL) is a global sustainability leader offering water, hygiene and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and the resources vital to life.
