Responsibilities and DutiesSoftware Development : Create and maintain applications for computer vision and artificial intelligence.Collaboration : Work alongside field engineers to test and troubleshoot systems for optimal performance.Code Maintenance : Refactor and maintain existing code to enhance functionality and efficiency.Prototyping : Conduct rapid prototyping (PoC) and integrate software with hardware solutions.Requirements Analysis : Engage in requirements analysis, architecture development, and software design to ensure alignment with project objectives.Minimum RequirementsEducation : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldAcademic Background : Strong foundation in computer science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.Experience : 4+ years in computer vision and machine learning.Programming Skills : Proficient in Python and object-oriented programming.Technical Proficiency : Experience with AWS, Git, and Docker.Operating Systems : Familiarity with Linux OS.Networking Knowledge : Understanding of parallel computing and TCP/IP networking.Communication Skills : Strong written and verbal English skills.Work Ethic : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Work Policy : Hybrid office policy; remote work options available for employees outside Southern California.Nice-to-Have QualificationsExperience in startup environments.Knowledge of sensor and IoT technologies.Proficiency in C/C++ programming.Familiarity with REST APIs.Compensation and BenefitsSalary : Base salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000 per year, plus equity and year-end bonus. Base salary determined by relevant experience and skills.Insurance : Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.Leave : 15 days of paid time off (PTO), 5 sick days, 10 paid holidays, and office closure from Christmas to New Year.
