IT Network ManagerOur Northwest Dallas area client company is seeking a hands-on

IT Network Manager

to oversee their computer networks and related computing environments. The selected candidate will be familiar with network architecture, data systems and protocols, internet, TCP and intranet connections; will plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all network hardware, software, and communication links; will manage security measures; will maintain the network's overall health; and have an in-depth understanding of network protocols and network management systems.S/he will further have proven experience as a Network Manager or similar role; have excellent leadership abilities and be able to effectively manage their current 3-person IT team; will have strong problem-solving skills; and will have outstanding written and verbal communication skill and be able to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.Candidates must have 3-5+ years of hands-on networking experience with network design and capacity planning; virtual infrastructure, network and routing protocols; developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans; Windows Server and Active Directory; switch configuration and programming; installing software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers; installing, configuring, and maintaining multi-user software to be accessed from network file servers and network operating systems; maintaining system documentation and ensuring that backup copies of all files are routinely made and securely stored at separate locations; providing end user training and technical support to users concerning network system operations; troubleshooting network equipment and performing repairs or upgrades as needed; performing routine maintenance on servers, computers, and peripheral equipment; securing the network by enforcing policies and defining access privileges, control structures, and resources; administering and maintaining end user accounts, permissions, and access rights; managing security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems; installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices; planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining network cabling and other networking equipment such as hubs, switches, and UPS; training team members on network troubleshooting and crisis management; preparing and documenting standard operating procedures and protocols; coordinating with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution; maintaining the company's VOIP phone system; researching network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts; and migrating existing systems to the Cloud using Microsoft Azure.The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of and hands-on experience with:Windows ServerActive DirectoryMicrosoft Hyper VEpicore EclipseExtreme Wireless Access PointsDell Network SwitchesFortinet FirewallsZultys VOIPFreshservice SuiteCisco DuoSentinel OneArete CybersecurityMicrosoft AzureCandidates must have an A.S. degree in computer science, data processing, or related field (B.S. or more advanced degree preferred), and be able to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship or visa transfer, whether now or at any time in the future. MCSE, or similar certifications, are strongly preferred.This is a permanent direct-hire fully onsite opportunity with a base salary from $90-135K, +/-, DOE, in addition to discretionary bonus and Profit-Sharing plans as well as an excellent full benefits package that includes a 401(k) with employer match.
