Overview

Sev1Tech is seeking an experienced individual to fill the position of Network Operations Center Technician I. This is an operational shift position dedicated to the support of the Network Operations Center for the administration, and management of the United States Space Force (USSF) meshONE-T network.

Reporting to the Network Operations Manager, the NOC Technician I will accomplish the following:

Perform continuous monitoring of systems via various tools, responding with appropriate actions to system alarm signalsMonitors for breaches of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Pursues first call resolution and reviews Service Center tickets for approvalWorks with Shift Lead to resolves problems between various functional areas to increase network availability to the Mission PartnersReviews tickets and performs follow ups with internal functional areas and/or Mission Partners on the resolution of network incidentsAssists with the creation of reports for measuring network utilization while performing traffic analysis, monitoring response times, and performing capacity and trend analysisConfidently multi-tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentCommunicates at a high level in both verbal and written formPerforms other duties as required. Position Details:Position is rotational shift work to support 24x7 NOC operationsPosition currently based out of the Colorado Springs Sev1Tech office with anticipated transition to Schriever SFBSome travel throughout the Colorado Front Range Area (Colorado Springs to Boulder) is expectedLess than 10% travel out of stateNon-Supervisory Position Salary: TBD

Responsibilities

Operate the meshONE-T system through the Government-approved Enterprise Service Desk (ESD) / Network Operations Center (NOC).Maintain an ESD and service lifecycle management systems on a 24/7/365 basis.Track, report, and resolve any equipment or system outages for all locations where meshONE-T is deployed, per the meshONE-T SRD.Notify the Government (meshONE-T program officer) for any changes in OPSCAP and SYSCAP conditions and emergency maintenance within 15 minutes.Notify all affected users at least 96 hours prior (routine/non-critical changes), 48 hours prior (patch or security vulnerabilities), and 24 hours prior (critical vulnerabilities) to an expected outage (i.e., Authorized Service Interruption), or per the timelines in the MP SLA, whicheverNotify all affected users within 1 hour (threshold) or 15 minutes (objective) after occurrence of an unscheduled outage (i.e., Demand Maintenance) or service failure.Provide the Government (meshONE-T program officer and all affected users) an Estimated Time to Restore Operations (ETRO) for all equipment and system outages.Submit incident reports (for outages or any other incident that disrupts normal operations) to the Agreements Officer, Program Manager, and cognizant ISSM. Unclassified reports shall be sent via encrypted email or another mutually agreed upon secure communications method, and classified reports shall be delivered via appropriate communication channels. Clearance: Must be eligible for US TS/SCI clearance

Qualifications * Experience with ServiceNow * Experience with any of the following monitoring tools: nGenius, NetBrain, Elastic, SolarWinds * Any of the following certifications: CCNA, CND, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, Network+, GSEC * Experience working in Department of Defense or other Federal contracts
