Cloud Network Engineer

As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT and development teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of our cloud-based systems. Your expertise in routing fundamentals, cloud connectivity, and automation will be crucial in driving our network solutions forward. A key project you will be involved in is the migration of 15 legacy data centers to 12 new greenfield data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

Routing Fundamentals:

Configure and manage BGP and OSPF routing protocols.Ensure optimal routing and network performance.

Transit Gateways:

Design and implement VPC-to-VPC connections using Transit Gateways.

Cloud Connectivity:

Manage AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute for reliable and secure cloud connectivity.

Data Center/Failover:

Implement and manage data center technologies and failover strategies to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.Lead the migration of 15 legacy data centers to 12 new greenfield data centers.

Network Hardware:

Configure and manage Cisco Nexus 9K switches, including NDFC and VXLAN.Work with existing Arista hardware in brownfield environments.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.5+ years of experience in cloud network engineering or a similar role.Proficiency in BGP and OSPF routing protocols.Experience with AWS Direct Connect and Azure ExpressRoute.Strong understanding of data center technologies and failover strategies.Excellent documentation and visualization skills using Visio/Lucid Charts.Proficient in using Jira for project management.Experience in automation, such as Python ScriptsExperience with Splunk for network monitoring and logging.Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9K, NDFC, and VXLAN.Familiarity with Arista hardware in brownfield environments.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
