Akkodis is seeking a Network Architect that is experienced with Juniper and Aruba Clearpass. This is an onsite role either in Irvine, CA or Irving, TX.Contract RolePay: 65 - 85/hrOnsite 5 days a weekWe are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Aruba and Juniper networking solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our enterprise network infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring network reliability, performance, and security across multiple sites, leveraging advanced technologies such as Aruba Central, ClearPass, and Juniper switches.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Network Design & Architecture:**- Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions using Aruba and Juniper technologies.- Develop network diagrams, implementation plans, and documentation to support new and existing network deployments.- **Aruba Switches & Central Management:**- Configure, deploy, and manage Aruba switches to support various network environments, including data centers, campus networks, and remote offices.- Utilize Aruba Central for centralized network management, including device provisioning, firmware updates, network monitoring, and troubleshooting.- Implement and optimize Aruba wireless solutions to ensure robust connectivity and coverage across the organization.- **ClearPass Policy Manager:**- Design and implement network access control solutions using Aruba ClearPass, including role-based access, guest access, and endpoint compliance.- Integrate ClearPass with other security systems (e.g., SIEM, firewalls) to enhance network security posture.- Develop and enforce security policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.- **Juniper Switches & Network Integration:**- Configure and manage Juniper switches, ensuring seamless integration with existing Aruba network infrastructure.- Implement advanced routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs) to optimize network performance and redundancy.- Troubleshoot complex networking issues, including interoperability between Aruba and Juniper devices.- **Network Monitoring & Optimization:**- Implement network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve network performance issues.- Analyze network traffic patterns and optimize bandwidth usage to improve application performance and user experience.- Conduct regular network audits and capacity planning to support future growth and technology upgrades.- **Security & Compliance:**- Implement robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and VPNs, to protect against cyber threats.- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security policies through regular audits and vulnerability assessments.- Manage network segmentation and access controls to limit exposure to internal and external threats.- **Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:**- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and operational procedures.- Provide training and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff on Aruba and Juniper technologies.- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement innovative solutions.**Qualifications:**- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Aruba and Juniper technologies.- Extensive hands-on experience with Aruba switches, Aruba Central, ClearPass, and Juniper switches.- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, MPLS, QoS, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.- Certifications such as Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP), Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA), or Juniper Networks Certified Specialist (JNCIS) are highly desirable.- Proven experience with network security tools and protocols, including firewalls, IPS, and endpoint security solutions.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external vendors.**Preferred Skills:**- Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).- Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).- Experience in multi-vendor environments and integrating diverse network technologies.- Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
