The Norman Regional Health Foundation (NRHF) provides philanthropic support to Norman Regional Hospital, a team of more than 3,000 healers all working together to serve our community as the leader in health and wellness care. The Foundation's mission is to enhance healthcare by advancing the patient experience, awarding scholarships and supporting community health and wellness.Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Foundation's Executive Director, the Marketing and Communications Specialist is a part-time position responsible for the development and messaging of communication plans across the platforms of written and digital publications, web and social media. Skilled in the ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with Norman Regional departments in media relations, internal communications and marketing to promote the Foundation. Skilled in the ability to work with volunteers and actively promote the Foundation to external audiences. Serve as a champion for innovation, develop best practices and look for creative solutions to support Foundation initiatives.Essential ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with Foundation team and board of directors to develop relevant and timely messaging that highlights and promotes the Norman Regional Health Foundation.Coordinates efforts with Foundation staff and Mission Advancement committee to ensure mission is presented in a manner that differentiates organization in the local philanthropic marketplaceMaintains contact with grateful patients, grant and scholarship recipients to ensure up-to-date information is highlighted.Maintains a depth and scope of knowledge regarding the Foundation's strategic plan and expertise that allows for accurate and appropriate internal and external communication.Integrates key strategic Foundation information into clear and concise messaging for appropriate audiences.Develops promotional materials and branding messages.Designs, writes and develops multi-media messaging across all communication channels in support of Foundation strategic organizational initiatives.Develops and implements a rich content calendar that attracts the appropriate audience for each message. Responsible for meeting content calendar deadlines.Writes, edits, and oversees production of ads, brochures, direct mail, and releases for internal and external audiences.Develops and writes copy for video, live streaming, other social media platforms, such as blogs, posts.Knowledge of the social media platforms of Facebook and Instagram. Experience using social scheduling tools such as Loomly a plusDevelops Foundation website copy content specific to search engine optimization.Demonstrates ability to creatively and effectively write, rewrite, edit, proof and manage publication submissions, meeting all deadlines.Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.Participates in Foundation events.Support Foundation's marketing strategy, brand development, and Internet strategy through implementation of tactical initiatives.Responsible for maintaining accuracy of website information. Coordinates reviews and approvals as needed.Monitors philanthropic marketing and key message trends.Other Duties:Participates in Foundation events.Oversees Foundation intern (graphic artist and/or marketing)Assists with Norman Regional Hospital initiatives as needed

Qualifications

Education/Experience:Bachelors level degree in related field (marketing, communications, journalism, public relations).A minimum two years of professional experience with an emphasis on marketing and communications is preferred.Skills/Abilities:Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional early mornings, nights and weekends for events.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; experience working with Loomly, Canva, Adobe preferredMust possess excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate attention to detail.Ability to build relationships and interact with varied stakeholders in a comfortable, diplomatic and effective manner.Proven strong project management skills with the ability to manage multi-phase projects from inception to completion.Occasional lifting, pushing, carrying heavy items occurs during special events and campaigns.
