Lighthouse Therapeutic Services is currently seeking full-time Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHP-A), registered with the Virginia Board of Counseling to assist in our Mental Health Skills-building Program.
The desired applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in the Human Services field or an equivalent discipline, and one or more years working with adults. Specific knowledge in counseling ethics, person-centered counseling techniques, crisis intervention, family counseling, and excellent written/verbal communication skills is highly desired. QMHP must have reliable transportation and is expected to report to the office on a regular basis for training and supervision.
In addition, the ideal candidate will:
Provide case coordination with additional servicing providers as needed
Work with clients to foster the development of new coping, problem-solving, and communication skills
Participate in the development of individualized service plans in conjunction with school settings, social service professionals, the youth and their families.
Implement service plans and monitor progress.
Maintain up-to-date client records and prepare the necessary reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Conduct and participate in case review and staffing as required
Work as a member of a treatment team, in conjunction with other providers within the school, community, clinic settings.
Establish a good working relationship with other public and private agencies/services, and interface collaboratively with them.
Bachelor's Degree (Required); Master's Degree preferred
License or certification:
Driver's License (Required)
Registration as QMHP with the Virginia Board of Counseling
Driver Record Review, Criminal Record Investigation, and Professional Recommendations including Official Educational Transcripts are required. (earning potential is based on education, skill level, availability and performance
