UI Engineering Manager

*** On-site 5 days a week in Katy, Texas ****** W2 Direct Hire Opportunity ***This large retail employer in Katy, Tx. is looking for a UI Engineering Manager to join their e-commerce team. This person will be responsible for leading a team of five UI Engineers in the development of the main website and mobile applications, including the augmentation and personalization of the website and promotional content to upscale usability. This individual must be detail oriented, a champion of innovation, hands-on in their management approach, and comfortable working closely with project managers and back end developers to ensure the website is up to date in it's development. Day to day responsibilities include working with designers and developers to ensure website functionality for end-users, and cross-functional teams to understand and write, develop, and test the business requirements for quality assurance to ensure a smooth handover to development teams. Additionally, they must be heavily involved in keyboard coding to help lead the UI Engineers in best practices, and join bi-weekly calls to complete validation for their monthly release. 1/3 of their responsibilities will be working with IT, 1/3 will be team management, and 1/3 will be true development.Must Haves:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related field.10+ years of experience in UI Engineering, Web Development, Software Development or similar3+ years of experience leading development teams in the development and delivery websites.Working Experience building web experiences with HTML5, CSS, JS and bootstrap methodologies.Plusses:Prior retail industry experienceExperience utilizing Monetate or other similar personalization engines
