Counselor

RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preparation, monitoring and review Facilitates activities of daily living, community meetings, engagement, carrying out treatment planning in milieu Provide therapeutic interactions to foster patient’s social, cognitive and behavioral skill development Provide supervision of milieu staff Provide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniques Provide individual, group and family counseling Provide multi-family group counseling Plan and facilitate interactions with residents within the milieu to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioning Assisting in supervision of activities related to establishing a treatment environment Prepare and maintain case records EXPERIENCE:Minimum one (1) year of related experience Experience working with substance abuse disorders/mental health clients preferred EDUCATION:CASAC or CASAC-T preferred but not necessary

Minimum Salary: 20 Maximum Salary: 30 Salary Unit: Yearly
