Job Overview
This is an onsite, hybrid position located in Milwaukee, WI.
The Manufacturing BI Analyst/Data Scientist will be responsible for analyzing datasets, designing efficient data models, and creating actionable insights to drive business value. This individual will be responsible for capturing business requirements, designing and developing data models, and maintaining an enterprise data catalog to assure accurate and consistent analytics for data consumers. This role will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and challenges to evolve Komatsu’s enterprise data fabric, providing a cohesive and unified approach to data management and delivery for digital transformation acceleration.
Key Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and leadership to gather requirements, develop, and support BI solutions for organizational stakeholders
Integrate disparate data sources into a cohesive data fabric, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and reliability
Create dashboards that visually demonstrate business activity and KPI’s
Analyze manufacturing process optimization opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to drive value
Perform data validation and cleansing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of data with stakeholders
Develop and maintain a centralized data catalog with proper refresh schedules, permissions, and maintenance
Build statistical algorithms and predictive data models to forecast predictions
Analyzes data sets to discover actionable patterns and trends for business use
Use machine learning frameworks to train data models
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science or Computer Science required. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Supply Chain with additional certifications (Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, etc.) will be considered
3+ years of experience in data management applied to Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain industryrequired
Experience with machine learning frameworks
Experience with Power BI and Palantir
Exceptional business analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and data architectures.
Well versed in technology innovation
Ability to transform strategic discussions into concrete, actionable work plans
Ability to establish, build and maintain strong relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
Excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills, and the ability to present complex data and statistics in a simple and clear way
10% Travel
