Together, we won't stop! Job Overview The Engineer's role is to design, validate and deploy technical solutions to maintain, enhance, and evolve the T-Mobile End User Computing environment. Specific tasks may include the development and maintenance of designs and solutions. The priority of these solutions is to maximize reliability, performance, and efficiency while limiting costs and time to market. Responsibilities may include the evaluation and translation of requirements into design, evaluate design benefits and tradeoffs, validate design compliance and support deployment of the design to ensure the requirements were met. Development of tools may be required to most efficiently solve technical or business challenges including technology evolution, capacity management, and performance optimization. Technical documentation, an understanding of processes and presentation skills are required to convey design benefits to a wide range of audiences. Automation skills are needed to automate repeated tasks. This role works on technical assignments that are focused on evolving technologies and capabilities. The position functions largely independent of supervision. Job Responsibilities: Technical System Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of end-user computing parameters and configurations, with proficiency in major client Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux), Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Intune/Autopilot, and Jamf for optimal system management. Serve as an engineer for the foundational components, interactions, dependencies, and tools necessary for comprehensive system design. Presents new ideas which improve an existing system/process/service. Question and express new perspectives based on independent study of the industry trends and benefits. Review current company processes, highlight questions, and explore process refinement. Technical Engineering Services: Supports engineering projects by active contribution to the application of systems engineering techniques; conducting tests and inspections for analysis purposes; preparing reports and calculations. Performs validation tests and inspection techniques and effectively documents results. Innovation: Expected to independently develop, design and implement new ideas which improve end-user computing systems/processes/services. Independent study of current technology is expected. Technical Writing: Maintains knowledge of existing technical documentation. Writes basic documentation on how technology works. Contributes clear documentation on systems used. Able to document systems designs and business requirements. Provides technical data for incorporation into internal presentations. Technical Leadership: Collaborates with technical teams and utilizes system expertise to deliver technical solutions. Continuously learns and can demonstrate a detailed understanding of new technologies to guide associate level engineers. Technology Strategy: Understands current technology that supports business goals. Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed. Education: Bachelor's Degree Engineering/Computer Science (Required) Work Experience: 2-4 years Technical engineering experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Focus: Able to communicate goals in support of the business' mission.
