Director, Quality Engineering

Location: Westlake, TX

HYBRID: 2 weeks per month in office

Fidelity Investments has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Quality Engineering in the HealthCare Technology Group.\u00A0This is a key leadership role within the quality organization supporting healthcare expense management and data analytics team. This individual will serve in a multifaceted function working in close collaboration with business partners, Architects and Agile delivery teams. The role requires strong technical skills to design or update testing automaton tools and framework to support product delivery and analytical and business skills to identify opportunities for end-to-end product testing to achieve efficiency and superior product quality. This role will also provide site leadership across other healthcare domains in the Westlake region. This role will be based in WLK.

The Team

The Health Care Technology Group delivers innovative and cutting-edge digital solutions to help Fidelity s clients and participants meet their healthcare needs. The healthcare expense management is to support critical customer need of expense management and data analytics. We are adopting DevOps and Agile delivery model, and Quality Engineering organization plays a significant role shifting left to make sure product are built with the highest quality standard and customer satisfaction.

\u00A0The Expertise You Have

  • Demonstrated experience and capability to lead large teams working across diverse project areas.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills that yield results.
  • 8+ years industry experience of software engineering or quality engineering and experience in completing large test automation efforts.
  • Proven track record of designing software testing tools and automation frameworks that are adopted.\u00A0
  • BS degree in computer science or an engineering field preferred and relevant work experience in healthcare space desired.

  • You have architecture insight and can design software and tests that are reusable, maintainable, and scalable.
  • You have practical experience and competency of programming languages Java, JavaScript, Python, GraphQL and SQL.
  • You use Data driven approach for problem solving.
  • You are passionate about testing, product quality, customer experience and efficiency.
  • You are motivated and enjoy working in fast paced agile environment.

The Value You Deliver

  • You will work with Agile delivery teams (including business analysts and architects) to evaluate existing test automation backlog and implement concreate plans of execution to reduce those backlog items.
  • You will support evaluating the best test automation tools and frameworks the teams use and implement a plan to reduce testing cycle time significantly while increasing test coverage transparency.
  • You will partner with business teams to investigate opportunities for collaboration and holistic approach to testing for efficiency gains and maximum coverage.
  • You will use Data and Metrics to measure test automation progress and effectiveness and seek out ways to improve.
