Data Modeler (Banking)

Responsibilities:Develop conceptual, logical models and metadata solutionsPerforming Data Analysis on various data setsDesign and maintain blueprint of the information architecture, data integrations and controls aligned to the renewed business strategyUnify data concepts across disparate front office, credit risk, servicing and reporting functions of ICGDetermine database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications and data from existing systemsParticipate in requirement engineering and working groups and collaborate with business leads, operations, SMEs, technologists and governance teamsDefine, model and rationalize target state solution, socialize with key stakeholders and conduct walkthroughIncorporate data standards and implement governance modelDevelop data flows, ownership matrixes, mapping and data lineageAssist in the implementation of physical data model, contribute to the system and operational design, carry out optimization for usability and performanceQualifications:8-10 years hand-on experience in Data Modeling and implementation using RDBMS - Oracle preferredHands-on modeling expertise using Magic Draw, Erwin or Enterprise Architect and metadata management toolsFinancial industry knowledge in wholesale lending, risk management, servicing and risk/regulatory reportingSQL query knowledge and performing data analysisProduct knowledge in commercial banking, capital and investment banking and marketsExperience in UML/relational/hierarchical/Big Data concepts is a plusPrefer data modelling experience using Magic Draw and Cameo. Utilize Code Engineering Sets to generate executable code or a database script. Write custom macros to efficiently validate and manage data modelsKnowledge of Data Management methodologies involving architecture, modeling, storage, securityPrior experience in data integration, interoperability and data quality solutions.Analytical and problem solver, excellent verbal, written and presentation skillsEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceCertification in Data Architecture / Modeling is a plusThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
