Position Overview
Riverside Research is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a DevOps Engineer. The successful candidate will play a critical role in advancing our organization's mission to deliver rapid applications and prototypes and contribute to national and global security. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise with building and deploying systems through automated processes. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines and experience creating scalable, available, performant, and secure AWS cloud infrastructure solutions.Responsibilities
Use GitLab for pipeline automation with code scanning and security tools.
Monitor and Optimize cloud resource performance and availability, monitor usage, and implement backup strategies for databases and other systems.Ensure system compliance with security standards (NIST 800-171, CMMC) and perform regular security assessments.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for cloud infrastructure and hosted software stacks.Create scalable, high performance data storage and retrieval systems using cloud technologiesContainerization and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes)Infrastructure as code technologies (such as Puppet, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation)Cloud computing solutions with AWS, including cloud networking conceptsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve network problemsUse of agile methodologies to plan and track work effortsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to understand functional and technical specifications for new productsWillingness to accommodate flexible tasking to include contributing to software development when needed
Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor*s degree is required for this position and candidates mutst have DevOps experience working with automated deployment processes.Global Comp
$120,000 - $140,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
