Databricks Architect

Titel: Databricks ArchitectLocation: Cincinnati OH (Hybrid)Duration:6+MonthsWhat You'll Do• Architect and design solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements.• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our Databricks platform.• Work closely with our data engineering team to ensure that our Databricks platform isoptimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our data pipeline and dataarchitecture.• Collaborate with other teams to ensure that our Databricks platform is integrated with ourother systems and technologies.• Deliver hands-on implementation of Databricks and associated cloud infrastructure usingbest practices around infrastructure as code and DevOps• Create and review architecture and solution design artifacts.• Evangelize re-use through the implementation of shared assets.• Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines,usability design standards, etc.• Proactively guide engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices.• Guidance of engineering staff and reviews of as-built configurations during the constructionphase.• Provide insight and direction on roles and responsibilities required for solution operations.• Identify, communicate, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Decisions throughoutthe full lifecycle.• Considers the art of the possible, compares various architectural options based on feasibilityand impact and proposes actionable plans.• Demonstrate strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.• Ability to analyze and operate at various levels of abstraction.• Ability to balance what is strategically right with what is practically realistic.

What You'll Bring• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science,or a related field.• Proven track record with 8+ years of experience in data warehousing, cloud architecture,and data integration, with at least 3 years focused on Databricks.• Hands-on experience implementing the Databricks platform in a production environmentusing infrastructure as code and DevOps• Proficiency in Python, SQL, data modeling, ETL processes, and familiarity with Azure cloudplatforms.• Hands on experience building data engineering solutions using Microsoft Azure stack,including Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hub, and Azure DevOps.• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts toboth technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Experience in full development lifecycle of Machine Learning is a plus.• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and software developmentlifecycle principles.
